David Diehl, MD, FACP, FASGE

Dr. Diehl is Director of Interventional Endoscopy and the Center for Advanced Endoscopic Research and Training at Geisinger Health System.  Prior to joining Geisinger, he was on the faculty of NYU School of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology. He was previously on staff at UCLA School of Medicine. He is proficient in all advanced endoscopic techniques; most relevant to his collaboration with Cernostics are endoscopic ultrasound, endoscopic mucosal resection, and Barrett’s ablation.  He attended undergraduate and medical school at the University of California, Los Angeles. Prior to clinical training in internal medicine, Dr. Diehl completed a year of pathology residency which included extensive training in anatomic pathology. His clinical gastroenterology training was at UC San Francisco, followed by basic science research at UCLA. Dr. Diehl is currently Clinical Professor of Medicine affiliated with Temple University School of Medicine, and maintains an Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine with NYU School of Medicine.
