Gary Falk, MD, MS

Dr. Falk is currently Professor of Medicine at the Hospital for the University of Pennsylvania, and Clinical Co-Director Clinical Co-Director, Joint Center for Digestive, Liver and Pancreatic Medicine, at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia .  A graduate of the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Dr. Falk completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at George Washington University Medical Center. This was followed by a clinical and research fellowship in gastroenterology at the University of Michigan Medical Center. He previously served the  Department of Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Cleveland Clinic for the past 23 years. While in Cleveland, he received his Masters in Clinical Research. Dr. Falk is nationally and internationally recognized for treating esophageal diseases, including achalasia, eosinophilic esophagitis, gastroesophageal reflux disease, swallowing disorders and, Barrett's esophagus. He has served as President of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy, and is a member of several national societies. He has published extensively in leading journals and is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology.
